This is one of PC Mag’s top 100 sites. You search through the thousands of available tattoo designs. Pick the one you want, pay and print it off. There is a comprehensive page about selecting tattoos and health issues too.

What we liked:

  • The in depth information about tattoos and health
  • Large tattoo library

What we Didn’t:

  • For a site all about art and design it is pretty dam ugly!!
  • You can’t actually see the final design as they show it in black and white and distort it. We know this is to stop illegal downloads but it isn’t pretty to look at and made our review feel a little motion sickness after browsing for half an hour!!

Comments: Please, please, please give your site an upgrade it made us feel depressed! Also you tend to be buying the tattoo stencils blind as the preview images are distorted. Could not see a money back guarantee.

Once you have chosen your tattoo design you need to find a tattoo studio to take the design. The tattooist will position the design, much like a transfer, exactly where you want it to appear. They will then blood in the design – depending on the size – using the tattoo gun. The colours chosen can either be matched exactly to your design or you can always ask for the design to be customized to suit your taste.
On full back tattoos the process can take many weeks, months or even years. The designs are traced out in black, or blooded in where the gun has no ink but traces the design onto your skin. The coloring process is carried out later. Of course this all depends on the size of tattoo. If you only want a small lower back tattoo or perhaps a small shoulder tattoo then the process can be completed in one visit.
